adidas Consortium Superstar x Footpatrol / x D-mop

Thursday, 5.02.2015 | posted in All, Products | no comments

Superstar x Footpatrol

In 2005 London’s Footpatrol created an understated tonal shoe in military green suede and leather. For their 10th Anniversary Consortium Superstar they have kept the one-colour approach, this time delivering a shoe in premium terracotta croc embossed leather. The years 2005 and 2015 are stamped into leather heel tabs, whilst Footpatrol branding is embroidered towards the rear of each shoe in cream. Soft leather lining and pig-skin suede Three-Stripes add tonal texture. As usual materials and construction are of the highest quality with Consortium detailing complimenting the lace aglets, suede sockliner and interior tongue label.

Superstar x D-Mop

In 2005 Hong Kong tastemakers D-Mop delivered an understated masterpiece in grey suede and leather. For their 10th Anniversary Consortium Superstar they have taken a different route. Sticking with traditional premium white leather for the upper, conventions are then broken with the Three-Stripes executed in red embroidery, edged with blue suede. The embroidered heel tabs, also in blue suede, feature a D-Mop logo on the left foot and the number 80 on the right, signifying the year D-Mop started. Further stitched numerical codes on the outer heel of both shoes reference important dates and numbers in D-Mop’. Impeccable materials and construction throughout are complemented by understated Consortium detailing; a suede footbed with 10th Anniversary branding, an inside tongue label that calls out D-Mop and Consortium lace aglets.

The adidas Consortium 10th Anniversary Superstar x Footpatrol and Superstar x D-Mop will be available from February 14th at No.42 Paris, No.74 Berlin and selected Consortium retailers, RRP 150 €.

adidas Consortium Superstar x NBHD / x Union

Thursday, 29.01.2015 | no comments

Superstar x NBHD

It will come as no surprise that Neighborhood’s 2005 Superstar was a predominantly black affair and their 10th Anniversary Consortium Superstar holds to this tradition. This time out the upper is executed in distinctive croc embossed leather with contrasting smooth leather lace-stay and heeltab, also in black. The interior of the shoe is no less luxurious with a white leather lining and 10th Anniversary branded suede sockliners. Neighborhood’s Skull and Crossed Swords logo adorns both shoes towards the heel, whilst ‘Customized Project’ lettering appears on both heel tabs. Laces are offered in cream and black, both featuring Consortium branded aglets.

Superstar x Union

For their original 2005 Superstar, Union presented a bold luxe statement with a purple leather upper and snakeskin accents. Their 10th Anniversary Consortium Superstar takes a more subtle approach to deliver an equally outstanding sneaker. Using brown suede for the upper, the colour is continued in the Superstar’s well-known rubber toebox. A blue leather heel-tab and white leather lining add character whilst a single line of zig-zag embroidery boldly traverses the Three-Stripes. Further detailing is found in Consortium lace aglets, a suede footbed with 10th Anniversary branding and ‘Union Los Angeles’ embossed in silver towards the rear of the shoe.

The adidas Consortium 10th Anniversary Superstar x Neighborhood and Superstar x Union will be available from February 7th at No.42 Paris, No.74 Berlin and selected Consortium retailers, RRP 150 €/$.

adidas Consortium Superstar x Dassler

Their 10th Anniversary Consortium Superstar flips the colorway with a premium soft black leather upper complimented by white leather heel tab and lateral Three-Stripes. Adi’s face features once again on the heel of both shoes in debossed black and white, whilst the Superstar’s classic tooling and toebox come in vintage off-white. Laces offered in Black or White feature Consortium aglets whilst the 10th Anniversary branding is featured on the inside tongue label and suede footbed.

adidas Consortium Superstar ‘Made in France’

Wednesday, 3.12.2014 | posted in All, Products | no comments

From its humble beginnings on the basketball courts to becoming a regular fixture in popular culture time and time again, the Superstar has truly become royalty in sneaker culture. Since its introduction to the game in 1969, the Superstar has gone from hardwood floors to concrete streets to red carpets and back again.
Like many of adidas’ most revered archive silhouettes, the Superstar was originally released under ‘La marque aux 3 bandes’ and manufactured in the Detwiller area of East France.
Warming up to the Superstar’s 45th anniversary in 2015, adidas Originals have teamed up with Ateliers Heschung, a family run factory who manufactured shoes for adidas France in the 1970s, to create a special ‘Made in France’ Consortium edition of this much loved silhouette.
Constructed in luxurious premium leather, the Superstar’s upper is stitched to its distinctive rubber toe cap and tooling with traditional hand-held techniques. In keeping with the original, the three stripes and unbranded heel-tab are executed in smooth black leather whilst the crisp white upper is complimented by a subtle vintage ivory tone throughout the shell-toe, outsole and soft leather lining.
Proudly presenting its stamp of high quality construction and materials is the classic “Made in France” logo on the tongue.

The adidas Originals Superstar ‘Made in France’ will be available from December 12th at No.42 Paris, No.74 Berlin and selected Consortium retailers globally.
